JessicaPost-doctorat in osteochondral regenerative nanomedicine

My research is aimed at contributing to tissue engineering for a nearby clinical application. During my thesis, my research focus was on the build-up of a stratified scaffold based on alginate seeded with human mesenchymal stem cells from bone marrow. The objective was to develop an original strategy to repair the full depth of chondral up to the sub-chondral bone defects.

Now, I am working on bone and cartilage repair, and on osteochondral defects repair. The goal is to used nano- or microfibrous scaffolds (approved by the FDA) to fill lesions and to accelerate the tissue regeneration by adsorbing a functionalization on the biomaterials and/or seeding mesenchymal stem cells.
